Rent-to-Own Your Own Home!

Would you rather rent-to-own your own home instead of having your payments just fly out the window each month?
With rent-to-own there is both a rental contract and purchase agreement. The purchase agreement gives you the opportunity to purchase the property at a fixed price during the time period of our arrangement.
The rental contract is a typical rental agreement where the renter occupies the property for a monthly payment.
A specified amount is applied each month as a credit towards the purchase price of the house, giving you time to build your credit if necessary.
The purchase option states the price at which the property will be purchased (slightly lower than the historical price increases for the local neighbourhood) and the time period during which the renter may exercise the option.
Advantages of renting-to-own:

You are able to build a downpayment for the purchase of your own home while paying rent.

When signing the agreement, you are able to 'lock-in' the sale price of your home at slightly lower than historical annual increases. When you exercise the option, you enjoy the benefits of potential increased market value over the term of the agreement. Re-negotiation will take place if the market happens to fall.

You have time to remedy possible poor credit situations.

Any decorating you do will be for your own home ownership.

The monthly rental payments will be fixed for the full term of the agreement so your rent payments will never go up.
